  2.7 General Principles of the Jury  
  Article 50-Direction and instruction of the Jury  
50.1 Direction and instruction of the Jury  
  Direction and instruction of the Jury is permitted only by the presiding Judge or magistrate, or by an officer of the court being so instructed by the presiding Judge or magistrate.  
50.2 Permission to make direction and instruction to the Jury  
  A presiding Judge or Magistrate is permitted to make direction and instruction to a Jury in so far as the instruction or direction is consistent with this Code and with the practice of law of the Society and does not contradict it.
